Server (Hiring Immediately)

Description: Southall is a premier destination bringing nature, produce and people together in a powerful and unique way. The Server will be responsible for leading the guest experience while providing 5-star dining service in our signature outlets: Sojourner , Dottie's and / or our Michelin Green Star restaurant, January . Responsibilities * Provide an immersive well-curated dining experience to our guests by highlighting our seed to table operation * Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen and bar using the hotel's point-of-sales system, coordinate food and beverage timings * Anticipate guest needs * Attend bar and wine service training * Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; room charges, properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals * Maintain an active understanding of front of house and back of house procedures * Coordinate with culinary team's daily and weekly changes and requests * Perform new staff mentoring, training, providing insight and direction * Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed * Memorize menu items, recipes, and daily specials in order to answer questions and make recommendations to customers * Attend all pre-meal and departmental meetings in person in order to enhance communications and knowledge of products, service and facility * Remain attentive to the customers throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards as established by the property at all times * Present a clean and professional appearance at all times * Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times * Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors * Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by Southall Leadership Requirements: * Restaurant hospitality experience; fine dining service experience preferred * Strong team leadership and organizational skills * Food, wine, and liquor knowledge * Comprehension of the reservation process * Excellent communication skills * Attention to detail * Strong problem-solving skills * High School Diploma * Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs. * Available to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays * Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods as needed and able to work in all weather conditions Our Benefits * Competitive compensation package * Medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, company-provided life insurance * Generous paid time off accruals * 9 paid holidays annually * Weekly pay * 401k and company match * Education reimbursement * Best-in-class Employee Assistance Program * Free weekly outdoor activities and wellness classes * 30% internal discounts * Fresh and free daily meal * Bountiful internal growth opportunities Our Team Assembled intentionally with dynamic expertise, the Southall team is offered the unique opportunity to learn humbly with, and from, each other.
