TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301!

Job Title: RN II - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days, Every Other Weekend Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Ability to read basic telemetry strips - Experience with CVA and TIA - Total joint replacement experience - Cerner experience recommended Description: Prescreen and manager review are required. Clinician must take and pass the dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be DNU for 6 months. Candidates must comply with the radius rule of 50 miles from the facility. Candidates may not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any related facilities within the past year. The unit includes 49 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. Common diagnoses include CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath and total joint replacement patients. RNs are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign off at least once per shift. Charge nurses and house supervisors are present on the unit. There are nurse aides available on the unit with a ratio of 1:10-15. Key equipment includes BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments. Shifts are from 7 AM to 7 PM with schedules made out for 4 weeks. Self-scheduling is utilized but is balanced by the manager. The weekend requirement is two weekends per 4-week schedule. Holiday requirements include working two days for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving, which may include eves. Floating to other areas is possible if qualified. Scrub color is navy blue. The charting system is Cerner. No call or standby requirement exists.
