About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with a growing law firm in the Rockville area to hire an experienced Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant. This position supports a busy litigation practice and requires someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide both litigation and high-level administrative support to a team of attorneys. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, polished, and able to work independently while balancing competing deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to multiple attorneys in a commercial litigation practice.
• Maintain attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel.
• Draft, edit, proofread, and format legal correspondence and documents.
• Prepare pleadings and other legal documents for filing.
• Assist with state and federal court e-filings.
• Organize and maintain electronic and paper case files.
• Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and materials for hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Coordinate client communications and respond professionally to inquiries.
• Conduct conflict checks and assist with new matter setup.
• Handle confidential administrative projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of legal assistant experience supporting commercial litigation attorneys.
• Previous law firm experience required.
• Experience with state and federal e-filing.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, and calendar management.
• Experience coordinating travel and complex scheduling.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail.
• Executive support experience is a plus.
• No degree required.
