Main Bank Cashier

The Main Bank Cashier role involves managing the distribution of money and chips to internal departments while ensuring accurate reconciliation and verification of all incoming and outgoing funds. The position requires strict adherence to Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) policies, procedures, and core values, as well as compliance with gaming regulations set by the Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board and Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority. Responsibilities include maintaining expertise in cage operations such as verifying large cash amounts, preparing accurate paperwork, balancing the main bank, tracking records, and resolving variances. The cashier must also handle ATMs and ticket kiosks by performing drops, replenishments, balancing, transporting cassettes, loading/unloading machines, and processing reports. Additional duties include managing pit fills/credits, sorting and bundling currency, maintaining strong mathematical and cash-handling skills, and requesting supervisory support when necessary. The role emphasizes teamwork, professional conduct, and building positive relationships with guests through courteous communication and personalized service, while also maintaining a clean, respectful, and collaborative work environment.

The position requires consistent punctual attendance, flexibility to work under pressure, and availability for weekends, holidays, and irregular hours. Candidates are expected to have a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and at least six months of cash-handling experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and cash counting equipment. Physical requirements include standing, hearing, seeing, and repetitive hand use for extended periods, as well as lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. Mental demands involve problem-solving, organization, reading, and strong mathematical ability. The job is performed indoors with occasional exposure to confined spaces and temperature variations. While there are no supervisory duties or initial licensing requirements, employees must obtain and maintain a gaming license and Title 31 certification, and pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and cashier testing. Overall, the role requires professionalism, attention to detail, regulatory compliance, and commitment to high-quality guest service, with additional duties assigned as needed.
