We are seeking a Designer to join our Communications & Design team in our San Diego office. This role requires a highly organized, proactive designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptable, and open to feedback, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and deliver exceptional work under tight deadlines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain and elevate brand standards across a wide range of print and digital platforms, ensuring consistency and high design standards. Conceptualize and design impactful marketing and communications materials, including presentations, brochures, flyers, email campaigns, digital assets, and templates. Translate complex information into clear, compelling visual storytelling and information graphics. Develop materials supporting tenant experience initiatives, including environmental graphics, wayfinding, and signage. Collaborate with senior leadership and the Design Director to create executive-level PowerPoint presentations for a wide range of audiences. Support planning and execution of photo and video shoots to capture building and brand assets. Coordinate ARE presence at events, including premier industry conferences and high-visibility tenant events. Manage projects from concept through final delivery, maintaining quality standards and clear stakeholder communication throughout. Partner with external vendors, including print and production partners, to ensure successful execution of marketing projects. Develop tools, templates, and workflows that improve efficiency and strengthen brand consistency across departments. Maintain and organize the brand asset and content library. Balance multiple priorities and confidently re-prioritize as business needs evolve in a dynamic environment. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field preferred. 5+ years of professional design experience. B2B experience required. Strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated design, presentation work, and information graphics. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. After Effects is a plus. Professional-level expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. Exceptional typography, layout, and information design skills. Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization abilities in a deadline-driven environment. Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills and openness to feedback; Experience working with senior-level executives a plus. Ability to work independently with initiative and strong follow-through. Willingness to learn and adopt new tools, software and AI technologies to enhance workflow and creative output.
