Administrative Nursing Supervisor Oncology

Scope of Position TheSupervisorisprimarilyresponsibleforadministeringnursingoperationswithinTheJamesCancerHospitaland Research Instituteduring off-shift hours including weekends and holidays.TheAdministrativeNursing Supervisor is responsible for enforcing hospital, nursing and medical policies and procedures.The Ohio State University Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care our patients receive. Position Summary Supervisingtheimmediatecareofourpatientsonagiventourofduty,whichincludesmakingroundstoallpatient care areas. Obtains report from the charge nurse and is knowledgeable of current patient status. Supervises the personnel of the nursing department on duty and contributes to evaluation of nursing personnel, recommends personnelactiontotheappropriatenursemanagerincludingdisciplinaryactionsand/orterminations.Coordinates nursing activities with those of related departments, acts as liaison to OSUH. Provides information for staffing needs. Functions as The James Cancer Hospital & Research Institute representative for crisis, emergency orunusualsituations. Minimum Qualifications Graduateofanaccreditedschoolofnursing.CurrentOhiolicensure. Three years of inpatient RN experience required. Progressivelyresponsiblehospitalnursing experience in administration, and supervision preferred.BSN required.ACLS certification preferred. Thank you for your interest in working at Ohio State.
