Absolute Minimum Qualifications & Licensure Hardstops:

• Licensure Mandate: Active New York State (NYS) Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registration held in hand at submission.
• Primary Certification: Active ARRT (R) certification required.
• Secondary Certification / CT Experience: Active ARRT (CT) registration preferred. Candidates without CT registry will be considered ONLY IF they possess 1+ years of demonstrated clinical CT experience.
• Basic Life Support: Active BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• Education Baseline: Minimum Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology .
• Imaging Equipment Proficiency: Hands-on experience operating GE Revolution APEX CT scanners and standard GE X-Ray equipment.

Job Summary & Clinical Scope

A Hospital in Walton, NY is seeking a versatile, dual-modality Diagnostic Imaging Technologist (CT / X-Ray) for a 40-hour weekly assignment. Operating within the Radiology Department (091704122), the technologist will perform routine diagnostic radiologic exams and computed tomography (CT) procedures, maintain strict radiation safety protocols, and ensure accurate contrast administration via IV injection.

• Dual-Modality Diagnostic Execution: Perform high-quality general diagnostic X-rays and routine/emergent CT scans in a balanced 50/50 workflow across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency patient populations.
• Contrast Administration & Safety: Safely initiate intravenous access and perform IV contrast injections per NYS injection registration guidelines; adhere to ALARA principles and radiation safety standards.
• Call Coverage & Emergency Response: Participate in the department's overnight call rotation during evening/late shifts (07:00–23:30 window) to support emergency department imaging needs.
• PACS & RMS Operations: Manage patient procedural tracking, image archiving, and documentation using hospital Radiology Management Systems (RMS) and PACS platforms.
