Job Title: Mechanical Project ManagerJob Location: Boise, IDBase Salary: $140K-$156KRequirements: 6+ Years of Mechanical/Piping experience on Water, Wastewater and Industrial projects.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical engineering and construction projects focused on water and wastewater treatment and industrial process facilities. The role is responsible for planning, executing and delivering mechanical systems on time, on budget and to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical engineering knowledge with proven construction project management experience, client-facing skills, and familiarity with treatment plant equipment and processes.Key Responsibilities:Lead the mechanical scope for projects in water, wastewater and industrial treatment facilities from feasibility and design through construction, commissioning and startup.Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and budgets; monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet milestones and financial targets.Manage procurement and coordination of long-lead equipment (pumps, motors, valves, piping, heat exchangers), fabrication and subcontractor work packages.Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers, field superintendents, vendors and subcontractors to ensure integrated project delivery.Oversee installation, alignment, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems and rotating equipment; ensure proper documentation and turnover to operations.Identify and manage project risks, develop mitigation plans and administer change orders and claims in coordination with commercial management.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and regulatory permit requirements applicable to water/wastewater and industrial treatment projects.Prepare regular project reports and communicate status, risks and decisions to clients, stakeholders and senior management.Promote and enforce site safety, environmental and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) practices.Mentor and develop junior staff and support resource planning for mechanical project teams.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; relevant technical degrees with strong mechanical/construction experience considered.7+ years of progressive mechanical project management experience on water, wastewater or industrial treatment projects, including field construction and commissioning.Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems used in treatment plants: pumps, piping systems, valves, HVAC, rotating equipment and associated controls.Proven experience managing budgets, schedules and subcontractors; familiarity with project controls tools (MS Project, Primavera, cost tracking systems).Strong understanding of construction safety standards and environmental regulations; OSHA 30 or equivalent preferred.Excellent leadership, communication and client relationship skills; ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and influence project outcomes.Certifications such as PMP or PE are a plus; experience with permits, codes (ASME, API, ANSI) and inspection processes preferred.Willingness to travel to project sites and possession of a valid drivers license.Keywords: Water, Mechanical, Construction, Project Manager, Wastewater, Industrial, Treatment.BenefitsMedical VisionDental 401(K)BonusAnd More!
