Industrial Maintenance TechnicianBlack Bear Talent is seeking actively recruiting for a skilled and dedicated Industrial Maintenance Technician for our client in Waynesboro, VA. The ideal candidate will be hands-on to keep and keep all equipment running safely and efficiently. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of manufacturing equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Hours are Monday - Friday from 6:30AM - 3:00PM. With overtime as required.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair production equipment to minimize downtimePerform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machineryDiagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issuesInstall, modify, and remove equipment as neededRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsObserve equipment in operation and identify performance issues or failure risksReplace or repair defective components and verify proper operationAdjust and optimize machine settings for performance and reliabilityMaintain accurate maintenance records and equipment historySupport production teams with equipment-related issues and training as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentIdentify and communicate opportunities for equipment or process improvementCore Skills & ExperienceStrong troubleshooting ability across multiple systems (mechanical, electrical, etc.)Experience with industrial equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read electrical and mechanical schematicsWorking knowledge of: Motors, drives, and basic controls. Pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Hand tools and diagnostic equipmentBasic math and measurement skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasksSafety & ComplianceFollow all OSHA and company safety requirementsUnderstand and apply lockout/tagout proceduresUse PPE and safety equipment appropriatelySupport and participate in preventive maintenance programsPhysical RequirementsLift up to 50 lbsStand, walk, bend, and work on feet for extended periods (8-10 hours)Work in a manufacturing environment around active equipmentPreferred Qualifications2+ years industrial maintenance experienceExperience with CNC or fabrication equipment (press brakes, lasers, etc.)Electrical troubleshooting (120V-480V)Welding or fabrication skills (a plus, not required)
