Implement procedures such as continuous and discontinuous measurement. 2. Collect data on client behaviors electronically. 3. Describe the behaviors and environments in observable and measurable terms.Assessment1. Assist in conducting preference and/or functional assessments.Skill Acquisition1. Identify the essential components of a written skill acquisition plan. Prepare for the session as required by the skill acquisition plan. 2. Use contingencies of reinforcement (e.g., conditioned/unconditioned reinforcement, continuous/intermittent schedules). 3. Utilize discrete-trial teaching methods, and naturalistic teaching strategies such as incidental teaching, task analysis, chaining approaches, and discrimination training. 4. Carry out stimulus control transfer, prompt and prompt fading, generalization, maintenance, shaping, and token economy processes.Behavior Reduction1. Able to identify the key elements of a written behavior plan, as well as the typical roles that behavior plays. 2. Incorporate interventions that are based on adjusting elements such as motivating operations and discerning stimuli. 3. Student of an education program on a path to working with persons diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS1+ year of experience as a Registered Behavior TechnicianCERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIREDBACB RBT Certification (must be active and in good standing) American Heart Association CPR/BLS with a live component or willing to obtain within 30 days of employmentKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREDDemonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through ongoing skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations. Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially regarding activities impacting patient or employee safety or security. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, providers, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles. Ability to work independently, capable of handling challenging/difficult therapy procedures and patient care situations; demonstrates sound judgment and executes above-average clinical skills.
