About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 5 years hospital experience within the past 5 years preferred License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing Description: Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delivers care according to professional standards and state regulations. Completes nursing database and care plan with concise and pertinent information. Reports findings to physician. Performs nursing procedures and interventions safely, efficiently, and with technical skill. Safely defuses anxious, hostile, or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage. Identifies patient learning needs and provides education. Demonstrates appropriate and effective use of delegation. Effectively utilizes information provided in annual training. Follows nurse practice act.
