Process oriented – We establish and respect clear processes. Responsibilities The Welding Supervisor position is part of the Operations Team. This is a full-time, exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following): Develop and maintain a safe work environment. Responsible for welding service quality, workmanship, costs, scheduling, and general performance of the welding department. Must become knowledgeable about and adhere to various welding specifications and procedures. Assures the proper training of all assigned team members. Foster an atmosphere that promotes continuous improvement of team members and processes, including cross training for flexibility. Drive quality improvements and support on-time delivery to meet customer success. Continuously assess staffing needs based on business needs. Perform administrative duties to support the day-to-day business including approving of time sheets, time off requests and performance evaluations. Other duties as assigned. Systems Used Requirements Technical high school and/or trade school graduate in welding 3-5 years of TIG welding experience Strong mechanical aptitude Supervisory training or equivalent experience. Management training is desirable. Must be able to communicate and deal effectively with every level of our organization. Must have excellent people skills, oral and written communication, leadership, organizational and motivational skills. Must be able to interpret and enforce the specifications and procedures related to the department. Compensation This position is full-time, non-exempt. Compensation typically follows industry median for Northeast Ohio/the Great Lakes region. You may be eligible for an annual bonus.
