Travel Per Diem Pipefitter

PipefitterJob Title: Pipefitter; $35/hr + $140 Per Diem project in Newport News, VA.We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter with extensive experience in marine, commercial nuclear, or petro/chemical industries. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to interpret ship piping drawings and have proficiency in fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret ship piping drawings.Fit carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping.End-prep piping by hand or using Portsmouth Machine.Install pipe hangers.Read a ruler using inches and tenths.Prep and fit up backing rings.Clean cut/break pipe with a grinder.Hand prep V bevels.Fabricate various details and assemblies from drawings.Bend pipe from templates and use a hand bender.Essential SkillsFive years or more experience as a First Class Pipefitter in marine, commercial nuclear, or petro/chemical industries.Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings.Experience with carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping.Proficient in using hand tools and Portsmouth Machine for end prepJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
