Join a Growing Litigation Team Defending the Transportation Industry

We are seeking a motivated and talented Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of litigation experience to join our dynamic defense practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney looking to gain hands-on litigation experience, work directly with experienced trial attorneys, and take ownership of a diverse and challenging caseload.

Our practice focuses on defending individuals, businesses, and insurance carriers involved in transportation-related claims and catastrophic loss matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in all phases of litigation while developing the skills necessary to become a trusted advocate and trial lawyer.

Practice Areas

The Associate Attorney will represent clients in a wide range of transportation and personal injury defense matters, including:

• Automobile accidents
• Commercial trucking and tractor-trailer collisions
• Bus accidents
• Crane and construction equipment incidents
• Dump truck and heavy vehicle accidents
• Catastrophic injury claims
• Wrongful death and fatality cases
• Motor vehicle accident (MVA) litigation
• Insurance defense matters

• Key Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct factual investigations and analyze accident-related evidence.
• Assess liability, damages, and risk exposure.
• Develop and implement defense strategies tailored to each case.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Assist with trial preparation and trial proceedings.
• Communicate regularly with clients, insurance representatives, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
• Participate in case strategy meetings and settlement negotiations.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and litigation requirements.

• Qualifications

  Required

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 2–4 years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and research skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines.

• Preferred

• Insurance defense experience.
• Transportation or trucking litigation experience.
• Deposition, mediation, and courtroom experience.
• Experience handling catastrophic injury or wrongful death matters.
• Familiarity with complex liability investigations and accident reconstruction issues.
