Role Description The Safety Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Andrews, TX, responsible for supporting and enhancing the company's safety programs in field and facility operations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting safety inspections and audits, identifying and mitigating hazards, and monitoring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves delivering safety training and toolbox talks, maintaining safety documentation and records, and assisting with the development and implementation of safety procedures. The Safety Specialist will investigate incidents and near misses, prepare reports with root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. Collaboration with supervisors and field crews to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement is essential. Qualifications Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply best practices in oilfield and industrial environments. Experience with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs, including regulatory compliance and risk assessment. Skills in Safety Training, with the ability to deliver clear, practical instruction to diverse field and facility teams. Accident Investigation experience, including root cause analysis and development of corrective and preventive actions. Knowledge of OSHA and relevant state regulations, and familiarity with industry standards for oil and gas operations. Strong communication and documentation skills, including writing incident reports and safety procedures. Ability to work in field conditions, travel to job sites as needed, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
