Physical Therapist Assistant- Flex/PRN

Job Overview This is a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position with a flexible / PRN schedule at a health facility in Lexington, Virginia. Responsibilities Provides patient care based on the licensed physical therapist’s evaluation and plan of care. Implements treatment programs and assists with changes in goals. Considers the patient’s chronological and developmental age when delivering care. Coordinates patient care and clinical activities through written and/or verbal communication with patients, families, therapists, clinical leaders, managers, and other health‑care team members. Documents in the patient’s medical record and completes other patient‑care related forms in compliance with regulatory agencies and department/hospital policies and procedures. Supervises and collaborates with support staff, volunteers and students to achieve efficient clinical activity and quality patient care. Participates in other patient‑care and department/professional activities as requested/assigned, including presenting or attending in‑services, performance improvement, program development/evaluation, new‑employee orientation, committee membership, peer review, and staff meetings. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Experience: None required. Licensure/Certification: Physical Therapist license required to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
