Located in Fishtown, Philadelphia, Wm. Mulherin's Sons is an urban Italian restaurant and hotel thoughtfully converted from a former 19th century whiskey blending and bottling factory.

Mulherin's features rustic Italian, wood-fired cuisine that emphasizes the smokiness and char of the wood burning oven & grill. We serve a casual, yet sophisticated & seasonally driven menu in a hip and nostalgic environment.

Bartender Job Responsibilities:

• Commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail
• Greet all guests that approach bar
• Strong, upbeat and positive personality
• Set up bar, prep product to match covers plus 5% over
• Provide guidance and clear instruction to barbacks on expectations and needs for the shift
• Include an element of staff education for every lineup
• Offer full service to guests at the bar, should they like it, incorporating established service standards that guests in the dining room would expect
• Own and manage rotation of clean and polished glassware
• Properly handle cash and closing guest tabs
• Keep a clean and properly rotated bar, using older product before moving into fresh prep. Quality check all day old stock before using.
• Work clean, as all service areas are within full view of guests.
• During down time, checking off cleaning duties on weekly cleaning schedule
• On shift change, making sure to restock before clocking out
• At end of night, performing closing duties to completion
• Passion for food, beverage and hospitality
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment
• Team oriented mentality
• Dependability

Required Qualifications / Experience:

• Knowledge of both classic and current food and beverage trends
• Knowledge of Italian Wine spirits and amaro is preferred
• Minimum 3-4 years of bartending experience in an upscale setting
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
• Ability to lift, move, carry 30 – 40 lb boxes, crates

Compensation Details:

Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience) plus tips
