About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid RN License required; pending license accepted for submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRPN required; must be through the American Heart Association Must-Have: Must be able to float to Mother Baby as needed Description: The RN will work three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The position requires working weekdays and every other weekend. The nurse is expected to float to Mother Baby only if not needed in Labor and Delivery. Assignments can be 40 hours if the RN desires full-time hours. Candidates should have circulating experience in the operating room setting, Fetal Monitoring experience, and IV start skills. Triage and scrub skills are a plus. The unit includes low-risk and high-risk obstetrics, with 14 Labor and Delivery beds, 6 triage beds, 2 operating rooms, and 2 recovery beds. This unit supports local obstetric needs and receives patients from surrounding areas. Nurses will work collaboratively with midwives and physicians to enhance the childbirth experience for women seeking minimal intervention, as well as those with major complications.
