Focuses on helping clients manage symptoms, improve coping mechanisms, achieve functional goals, and enhance overall psychological well-being. Ideal candidate possesses proficiency in various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care), and a deep commitment to ethical practice and collaborative care.**Responsibilities:**# **Essential Functions**Clinical Services (65%)* Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments (as pertinent to care model) and determine appropriate levels of care. + Assess for risk of harm to self or others* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.* Provide psychotherapy and counseling services utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.* Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.* Collaborate with other healthcare providers and/or stakeholders to ensure holistic and integrated care.* Crisis Intervention + Respond to mental health crises and provide immediate support. + De-escalate crises and promote safety. + Facilitate and deliver critical incident response services and offer psychoeducation as requested + Connect clients with appropriate resources and services.Documentation (30%)* Maintain accurate, timely and confidential client records including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.Administrative Duties (5%)* Maintain productivity standards as required by program management* Participate in staff meetings and training* Assist with program development and evaluation.* Invest in regular networking with stakeholders and/or the community to promote the program and services, answer questions and ensure referrals.* Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure efficient operations.Other Job Duties as Assigned**Schedule:**32 or 40 hours/week; combination of days and evenings**Job Description:**# **Job Requirements****Education*** Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or another human services related field# **Experience*** A minimum of one year of post-master’s clinical experience with major mental illness, counseling/therapy, and/or substance use/abuse treatment**License/Certifications*** Nebraska Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) or Nebraska Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) required* Licensed Alcohol Drug Abuse Counselor (LADC) preferred* Certified Marriage and Family Therapist (CMFT) preferred**Skills/Knowledge/Abilities*** Ability to attentively listen to clients, understanding both verbal and non-verbal cues.* Capacity to understand and share the feelings of others.* Skill and ability to clearly express ideas and thoughts, both verbally and in writing.* Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.* Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients.* Awareness and appreciation of cultural differences and social determinants of health and their impact on mental health.* Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.* Ability to adhere to all state, federal and organizational regulatory and ethical standards.* Ability to prioritize self-care to avoid burnout and maintain professional effectiveness.* Ability to solicit and accept feedback for ongoing improvement and learning* Ability to work set hours for their specific position which may include early morning, and/or some evenings* Ability to travel occasionally between locations as needed* Ability to provide services via telehealth as needed.* Available for occasional on-call coverage as scheduled/necessary# **Physical Requirements****Weight Demands*** Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force.**Physical Activity*** Not necessary for the position (0%): + Climbing + Crawling + Kneeling* Occasionally Performed (1%-33%): + Balancing + Carrying + Crouching + Distinguish colors + Lifting + Standing + Stooping/bending + Twisting + Walking* Frequently Performed (34%-66%): + Grasping + Keyboarding/typing + Pulling/Pushing + Reaching + Repetitive Motions + Sitting + Speaking/talking* Constantly Performed (67%-100%): + Hearing + Seeing/Visual**Job Hazards*** Not Related: + Chemical agents (Toxic, Corrosive, Flammable, Latex) + Biological agents (primary air born and blood born viruses) (Jobs with Patient contact) (BBF) + Physical hazards (noise, temperature, lighting, wet floors, outdoors, sharps) (more than ordinary office environment) + Equipment/Machinery/Tools + Explosives (pressurized gas) + Electrical Shock/Static + Radiation Alpha, Beta and Gamma (particles such as X-ray, Cat Scan, Gamma Knife, etc.) + Radiation Non-Ionizing (Ultraviolet, visible light, infrared and microwaves that causes injuries to tissue or thermal or photochemical means) + Mechanical moving parts/vibrations**About Methodist:**Nebraska Methodist Health System is made up of four hospitals in Nebraska and southwest Iowa, more than 30 clinic locations, a nursing and allied health college, and a medical supply distributorship and central laundry facility.
