Mold Machine B Operator LPCS 015
Precision Castparts
Essential Functions Tooling Preparation: accurately prepare tooling dies for operation. Assemble, disassemble, prepare and position tooling dies for operation; change die inserts as required. Add chills and soluble per tech cards. Remove and/or clean tooling after operation. Mold Machine Operation: operate moderately complex molding machines accurately and efficiently using technique cards and established setup procedures. Maintain dimensional integrity of product. Set up, monitor, and control mold machine functions. Keeps dies clean during molding operations. Remove wax parts from die, inspect for defects, and trim. Cleans wax parts as required. Complete logs and records; document any modifications to process. Meet all production and quality standards. Safety Objective: take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices. Adhere to plant and department safety rules. Safely operate all equipment and tools. Identify and report safety problems. May train less skilled operators as assigned. Performs other tasks as directed.

Pry bars Side cutters and/or knives Mallets Torches and air nozzles Air ratchet Wrenches; allen and crescent Power drill Flashlight Hoist Dental picks Mold Machines May be required to handle hazardous waste. Qualifications Skill in wax molding operations, as demonstrated by three to six months of competent performance in any wax molding utility, leach tank or core/gate cleaner positions is preferred OR any equivalent combination of training and work experience. Ability to read, interpret and follow specifications on Technique Cards, Process Control. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Ability to work alone with limited supervision. Written language skills required. Physical ability to perform the essential job functions. Training is provided on the job.
