Make Ready Technician

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Make Ready Technician to join one of our apartment communities in the North Dallas area. This position plays a vital role in preparing apartment homes for new residents by ensuring each unit is clean, functional, and move-in ready. What You Will Do

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing make-ready tasks on schedule
• Paint apartment interiors, including walls, trim, doors, and ceilings, while maintaining high-quality standards
• Perform drywall repairs, patching, texturing, caulking, and touch-up work
• Complete minor plumbing, electrical, appliance, and carpentry repairs as assigned
• Install and replace fixtures, hardware, blinds, smoke detectors, and other apartment components
• Complete apartment punch lists thoroughly and efficiently
• Ensure each apartment is clean, functional, and meets company quality standards before move-in
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of common areas and the property as needed
• Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards promptly
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to meet apartment turn deadlines
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures while delivering exceptional quality

What You Bring

• Previous apartment make-ready, maintenance, construction, handyman, or related experience preferred
• Experience with painting, drywall repair, basic plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general carpentry
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• Commitment to providing excellent service and taking pride in your work

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including walking the property, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening
