Exciting Opportunity for a Respiratory Therapist! Job Description:
- Join a dynamic team as a Respiratory Therapist working the Night 3x12-Hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).
- Enjoy a balanced schedule with every other weekend and holiday required.
- No floating requirement; focus primarily on your specialty.
- Time Off:
- Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract.
- 14 days or less of RTO will auto-approve.
- Every other winter and summer holiday is required, with no RTO on hard-to-fill days like Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day.
- Local candidates are welcome to apply, ensuring accessibility and convenience.
- No on-call duties, allowing you to enjoy your time off.
- Candidates should have:
- 3 years of Respiratory Therapy experience (RRT preferred).
- CRT candidates with 5 years of experience may be considered.
- Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience is a must.
- Required certifications: ACLS and BLS.
- Active Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure. Essential Skills & Experience:
- Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department respiratory experience.
- Proficiency in airway management (extubation, intubation assistance, suctioning, tracheostomy care).
- Comfortable caring for patients with ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, and fresh tracheostomies.
- Experience with bronchoscopy support and sputum specimen collection.
- Competence in ventilator management (BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV) and troubleshooting pressure alarms.
- Skilled in chest physiotherapy, arterial blood gas collection, and ABG interpretation.
- Familiarity with special equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, mechanical ventilators, high-flow oxygen systems, nebulizers, and aerosol medication-delivery systems.
