About the Role:

The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of a food service establishment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and ready for use. This position supports the kitchen and dining staff by efficiently managing the flow of clean items, which directly impacts the overall customer experience and operational efficiency. The Dishwasher must adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent contamination and maintain a safe working environment. This role requires physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks, lift heavy items, and stand for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail. Ultimately, the Dishwasher contributes to a smooth-running kitchen by providing reliable and consistent support in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic reading and comprehension skills to understand cleaning instructions and safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely, typically up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions without compromising quality.
• Demonstrated reliability with regular and punctual attendance.
• Willingness to follow detailed instructions and work cooperatively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of proper sanitization techniques and food safety standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations and workflow.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and supporting team members.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment and manual cleaning methods.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and work surfaces, to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Sort and properly store clean dishes and kitchen tools to ensure easy access for kitchen and service staff.
• Assist with waste disposal and recycling processes, ensuring proper handling of trash and recyclables.
• Follow all instructions from supervisors and kitchen management to support overall kitchen operations and maintain a flexible schedule to meet business needs.

Skills:
