Job Title: Registered Nurse – Dialysis
Location: Cleveland, OH
Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Three (3) 12-Hour Shifts or Four (4) 10-Hour Shifts Per Week | Rotating On-Call Requirement | Every Other Weekend
Pay Rate:
Travel: $2,200 - $2,500/Week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Dialysis for an exciting Travel Contract opportunity in Cleveland, OH.

Responsibilities

• Administer hemodialysis treatments in both the dialysis unit and at the bedside for hospitalized and ICU patients.

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments.

• Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.

• Connect and disconnect patients receiving peritoneal dialysis therapy.

• Monitor patient responses to treatment and promptly identify and address complications.

• Manage dialysis access devices, including central venous catheters, fistulas, and grafts.

• Collaborate with nephrologists, intensivists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Administer medications and treatments related to renal replacement therapy.

• Document assessments, treatments, patient responses, and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record.

• Educate patients and families regarding dialysis procedures, treatment plans, and ongoing renal care needs.

• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety, regulatory, and organizational standards.

• Participate in the on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse License in Ohio or a Compact State License in hand at the time of application.

• Minimum 18 months of recent permanent hemodialysis nursing experience required.

• Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.

• Current AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required.

• Strong knowledge of acute and chronic dialysis treatment modalities.

• Experience providing bedside dialysis services in an acute care or hospital environment preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience caring for critically ill patients requiring bedside dialysis treatments preferred.

• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
