Substation Physical Engineer

Leading the physical design of high-voltage substations in a full-time remote capacity, the Substation Physical Engineer III will develop design packages for renewable energy interconnections, ensuring compliance with utility requirements while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities: Develop physical substation design packages, including general arrangement drawings and equipment layouts Coordinate with various engineering teams to deliver integrated design packages and ensure technical accuracy Support client interactions and present design assumptions while aligning documentation with client expectations Required qualifications: Associate's degree or greater in a related engineering discipline; Bachelor's degree preferred 5+ years of relevant substation physical design experience Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, including 3D design experience Demonstrated experience developing general arrangement drawings and knowledge of high-voltage substation equipment Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage fast-turn assignments
