• RESPONSIBILITIES
  
• Under the direction of the Dosimetrist, Radiation Therapy Physicist and/or the Radiation Oncologist, the Radiation Therapist will treat cancer and other diseases in patients by administering radiation treatments according to treatment plan.
• The Radiation Therapist must maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions with strict adherence to safety responsibilities and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education : Associate's degree preferred.
• Previous Experience : One year of experience in radiation therapy highly preferred
• Experience with hematology/oncology /radiation oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is a plus.
• Core Capabilities:

• Must be detailed oriented, ability to exercise independent judgment, the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to assess patient needs and condition is essential.
• Interpersonal Effectiveness : Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, diversity awareness.
• Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.
• Communication Skills : Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.
• Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills is required.
• Customer Service & Organizational Awareness : Strong customer focus.
• Ability to build an engaging culture of quality, performance effectiveness and operational excellence through best practices, strong business and political acumen, collaboration and partnerships, as well as a positive employee, physician and community relations.
• Self-Management : Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, professional development.
• Self-motivated and self-starter with ability work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work remotely effectively as required.
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.
• Computer Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
• Certifications/Licenses : A valid Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT/RTT) license required.
• ARRT Certified BLS Certified CPR Certified
• Valid state Driver's License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.
• Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required
