Human Resources Director

Delta Field Services is a fast-growing field services company supporting utility and infrastructure clients across multiple states. We're looking for an HR Director to lead our HR function at a pivotal moment of growth — almost half our current workforce has joined within the last year, and our HR operation has scaled right along with it. This role owns HR strategy and compliance for the organization while directly advising ownership and senior leadership on people decisions. You'll partner closely with our HR Coordinator, General Counsel, and finance team, and serve as the standing strategic HR voice in leadership conversations — from complex employee relations calls to workforce planning. Pay starts at $120k, but negotiable based on experience and what you bring to the table. What You'll Do Act as the primary strategic HR advisor to the Owner/Founder and senior leadership team, with dedicated recurring time to discuss: Recruiting strategy and pipeline health across departments Workforce planning and organizational design as the company scales Multistate employment compliance risk and mitigation Compensation strategy, pay equity, and total rewards Retention and culture strategy Risk management, including workplace investigations and litigation avoidance HR technology roadmap and continued UKG optimization Own compliance across EEO-1 filing, ACA reporting, & other audits — ensuring the company stays ahead of multi-state employment law and regulatory requirements. Lead employee relations matters and terminations, partnering with General Counsel on legal risk and FMLA/leave compliance. Own benefits administration end-to-end: plan design input, broker and carrier relationship management, annual open enrollment, COBRA oversight, qualifying life event (QLE) processing, and reconciliation between HRIS and carrier data — with clear, proactive communication to employees throughout. Oversee the HRIS (UKG) — system configuration, data integrity, and continuous process improvement. Guide recruiting strategy across the organization, including postings, screening, and interview processes for multiple simultaneous openings. Own and maintain company policy, the employee handbook, and responses to client/vendor HR compliance questionnaires. Lead performance review cycles and build out compliance-related people programs. Provide hands‑on mentorship to our HR Coordinator — a strong performer eager to grow into more strategic HR work — delegating meaningful projects and building a clear development path as the function scales. Partner cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, and Operations on organizational development initiatives. What You Won't Do Payroll processing — owned by our Finance team Workers' compensation claims administration — owned by Safety and our insurance broker This role is scoped for strategic and compliance-focused HR leadership, not payroll or claims processing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered. 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR leadership or director-level role. Demonstrated experience managing multi-state employment compliance: FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, and ACA. Hands‑on HRIS experience; UKG experience strongly preferred . Experience advising executives or ownership on HR strategy and sensitive personnel matters. Experience operating in a high‑growth, high‑volume, or multi‑state workforce environment; field services, construction, energy, or utility industry experience a plus. SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Excellent judgment, discretion, and communication skills; comfortable owning ambiguous, high‑stakes decisions independently. #J-18808-Ljbffr
