Job Title: RN Medical / Surgical / Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical / Surgical / Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00 AM - 06:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification, GRH CPI/MOAB Must-Have: - Previous Epic Experience required - Ability to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia test during the first week of assignment Description: The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be conducted in the first week of the assignment. This test must be passed to work on the telemetry/med-surg unit. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high-quality care to patient populations, including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry. The estimated hours per week are 36. Telemetry ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. Floating may be required for non-critical care inpatient units, including to other departments if there are boarded patients. The electronic medical record system is Epic. The traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour if called in during low census periods.
