Work Environment\n

Typical working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient demand.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the psychological needs of elderly patients, including cognitive changes, physical health considerations, and social factors.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to address the specific psychiatric conditions and challenges faced by older adults.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy, utilizing techniques that resonate with older populations.

• Collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists and multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring seamless integration of care across various health services.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community support resources, enhancing their understanding and coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating a strong grasp of mental health counseling within a geriatric context.

• Knowledge and understanding of geriatric mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and effective patient communication strategies.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and adapting to various digital platforms relevant to patient care.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a patient-centered approach and the ability to build trusting relationships with elderly clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
