Details\n \n Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting \n Patient population includes antepartum, labor & delivery, LDRP, Level I nursery, and mother/baby care \n 13-week contract assignment \n Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00 \n Uses Meditech charting system \n Requirements\n \n Active RN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing required \n Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP \n Basic Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required \n Workplace Violence education required \n 2 to 5 years of Labor and Delivery experience required \n Meditech charting experience required \n Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of blood and blood products \n Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency care, including adult and neonatal arrest \n Experience with high-risk OB conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and VBAC management \n Proficiency in fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement \n STABLE certification preferred \n Additional Information\n \n Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages \n Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-section recovery, and neonatal resuscitation in the delivery room \n Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives as needed \n Support breastfeeding and lactation, and follow baby-friendly protocols \n Manage pain interventions including epidural anesthesia and opioid administration \n Care for patients experiencing postpartum hemorrhage, multiple births, and pregnancy-induced hypertension \n Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers \n No set policy restricting return staff from applying \n First-time travelers may be considered as travel experience is not required \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-742142.
