About the Position

Job Title: RN Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-surg Adult, Telemetry Med/Surg, Observation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights including weekend rotation Hours per Shift: 36 hours guaranteed Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Acute Care/Med-Surg/Telemetry or similar RN experience License: Current RN License to work in Colorado Certifications: Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association Current ACLS issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have: Flu Vaccination (mandatory) required from October 1st through April 1st, no declinations accepted Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients. The nurse will utilize specialized knowledge and expertise related to critical disease states. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care, utilizing the nursing process. ACLS certification is required to provide Intermediate Care in CCU as needed. Candidates must agree to be in the call rotation and take one call shift per two-week period, if requested due to staffing needs. The work environment includes a growing patient census due to increases in orthopedic surgeries and acute/chronic illnesses.
