Position Overview
A seasoned labor and delivery professional is needed for a travel assignment, providing expertise in a fast‑paced obstetric environment. The role focuses on supporting safe and efficient deliveries while maintaining high standards of clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart patterns throughout labor.
- Prepare and maintain delivery rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterile and functional.
- Assist with positioning, instrumentation, and delivery techniques.
- Perform rapid assessments of labor progress and communicate findings to the attending physician.
- Manage emergent situations by initiating appropriate protocols and supporting the clinical team.
- Educate and support mothers and support persons on labor processes and postpartum expectations.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety guidelines.

Qualifications
- Active nursing credential in good standing.
- Recent experience in labor and delivery, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Proficiency with electronic monitoring systems and delivery equipment.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong critical thinking and decision‑making abilities in high‑stress situations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in diverse clinical settings.

Preferred Attributes
- Experience with high‑risk obstetric cases.
- Familiarity with evidence‑based labor management practices.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying facility protocols and patient populations.
