Licensed Practical Nurse (Full Time - DAYS)

Overview Find your calling at Mercy! The role utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed prescriber or a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). You will maintain professional accountability, coordinate patient care with other departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality. Position Details This is a clinic‑based position. Responsibilities include: Assisting with medication drawing for procedures Medication refills, prior authorizations, rooming patients, and working with Nurse Practitioners Performing BOTOX injections for providers in Headache Management Great for new LPN graduates. Work schedule: Monday‑Friday, 40 hours. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (or comparable education and successful licensure) Current LPN license in the hiring state; must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements One year of inpatient/hospital experience (minimum three years preferred in inpatient/hospital, home health, rehab, or related field) Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire LPN‑IV certification previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire (range up to 1 year) Additional certifications may be required based on the position/unit or department: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support); PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization); S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support); Six Assessment & Care Modules; other unit‑specific certifications as required Physical Requirements & Demands Stand or walk most of the time on duty; significant amount of bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds.
