Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and/or authorization for entry while following post orders and reporting unusual activity through proper channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license, as required by state and/or local law.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
