Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level II Trauma Operating Room, requiring 2+ years of CST experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center hospital operating room setting
• Provides advanced surgical care including structural heart, stroke, spine, cancer, orthopedic, and women's health procedures
• Utilizes robotic-assisted technology for minimally invasive surgical procedures
• Uses Epic EMR
• Afternoon shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts, 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
• Call requirement of one night per week and one weekend per month

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CST experience required
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Proficiency in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, Gen/Gyn, and Urology required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• NBSTSA certification required
• License required if applicable
• Recent travel work experience highly preferred

Additional Information

• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and verify items on physician preference cards
• Ensure all supplies and equipment are available, assembled correctly, and in working condition
• Maintain and monitor the sterile field, recognizing breaks in technique
• Keep accurate account of medications, sponges, instruments, and sharps per policy
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during procedures
• Hospital-provided dress code
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• No more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
