Cloud Architect Mid/Senior

Salary: $167,000 - 207,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 8+ years of cloud architecture experience, with exposure to government or regulated cloud environments.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• We prefer a masters degree in a related technical field.
• We prefer AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or CompTIA Cloud+ or an equivalent cloud certification.
• We need strong proficiency in AWS architecture, including the design and administration of government enclave environments.
• We expect hands-on experience with cloud-native application design and DevSecOps practices.
• We value knowledge of multi-tenant architecture and Zero Trust principles in federal cloud settings.
• We require familiarity with healthcare integration standards such as FHIR, HL7, and API-based interoperability.
• We need the ability to assess compliance against FedRAMP High controls and documentation requirements.
• We require strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We need someone who is organized and able to manage multiple concurrent assessments and deliverables.
• We prefer experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS in a FedRAMP environment.
• We prefer familiarity with our DSS Health Cloud platform or similar healthcare-focused cloud solutions.
• We prefer knowledge of VA or DoD health IT systems and standards.
• We require the ability to pass a federal background check and be determined suitable for federal employment.

• We conduct architecture reviews to assess cloud readiness and scalability for applications being onboarded to our DSS Health Cloud.
• We evaluate application compatibility with AWS GovCloud environments and identify technical gaps or remediation needs.
• We define cloud migration approaches and build remediation roadmaps to help applications meet FedRAMP High requirements.
• We assess and validate alignment with FedRAMP High architecture standards, including security controls and configuration baselines.
• We provide interoperability guidance for FHIR, HL7, and API integration standards used in healthcare environments.
• We support onboarding roadmap development with ISV teams, government stakeholders, and our DSS Health Cloud operations staff.
• We apply cloud-native design principles and DevSecOps practices during technical review and assessment work.
• We advise on multi-tenant architecture and Zero Trust principles within government cloud environments.
• We perform additional duties as assigned in support of our contract objectives.
• We travel occasionally as needed for project requirements, up to about 10% per year.
• We complete required security, privacy, and FedRAMP training to support compliance with HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53 controls.
