Project Manager - Commercial Construction

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional who can manage complex programmes, coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.


You will take overall responsibility for planning and managing project activities, including procurement, programming, budgets, risk management, site operations and handover. Key duties will include coordinating consultants, contractors and specialist subcontractors; reviewing drawings, specifications and construction methodologies; monitoring progress against agreed milestones; managing variations and commercial issues; and maintaining accurate project documentation and reports. You will chair progress meetings, provide clear updates to senior stakeholders and ensure effective communication across all project teams. A strong focus on health and safety, quality assurance and compliance with relevant legislation will be essential throughout each project.


The successful candidate will have proven experience managing commercial construction projects, ideally from inception to completion, together with a strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, cost control and programme management. You will be confident interpreting technical information, identifying and mitigating risks, and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills are required, alongside the ability to build productive relationships with clients, consultants and delivery teams. A relevant qualification in construction, project management, civil engineering or a related discipline is desirable, as is professional membership of an appropriate industry body. You should be organised, proactive and solutions-focused, with a consistent commitment to delivering high standards and positive project outcomes.
