Personal Injury Defense Paralegal

Our long-established Wall Street Insurance Defense Firm seeks a Paralegal knowledgeable in the defense of automobile and trucking bodily injury suits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The ability to evaluate a file, as well as analyze, draft, and prepare legal documents for a supervising lawyer or supervising paralegal is essential. Also important is the ability to work independently, communicate with outside vendors and to be organized. Ensuring compliance with local court rules and filing deadlines is mandatory.

Educational/Experience Requirements

• 2+ years litigation experience. Insurance defense, a plus.
• Must be conscientious, detail-oriented and a team player.
• Must be able to assume immediate responsibility, prioritize assignments and handle an active caseload.
• The ability to work independently and multi-task is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel are necessary; knowledge of TrialWorks is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $45,000-$64,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience. Benefits include health and 401K.
