IS Technician

The IS Technical Support Specialist serves as a resource and local primary point of contact for customer's issues and requests for information technology services and support. The IS Technical Support Specialist provides high-quality end user IS/IT services to all Providence employees, partners, and customers, while also delivering an excellent customer service experience.

Required Qualifications:

• A+, Network+, CCNA, MCSE, RHCE, MCSA, CSA, ACE, CCIE, or MCDBA (for Level II) upon hire
• 1 year of experience – Level I: IT customer service-related experience in a single or combination of positions.
• 1 year of experience – Level II: At least two (2) current certifications in technology related fields and a minimum of (1) year of experience in technical support -OR-
• At least one (1) current certification in technology related field and a minimum of at least two (2) years of experience providing technical support in a high volume, technology focused call center -OR-
• At least three (3) years of experience providing technical support in a high volume, technology focused call center

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree – Level I: IT or IT related industry or equivalent education/experience
• Bachelor's Degree – Level II: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent education/experience

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
