This isn’t just a job, it's a chance to lead change, drive progress, and leave a lasting legacy.We are currently looking for a Construction Manager to oversee the Goshen Tunnel Rehab Project. The project consists of rehabilitating and enlarging two nearly 100‑year‑old irrigation tunnels to an 18‑foot diameter, along with associated portal structures. Located near Torrington Wyoming, the tunnels provide irrigation water to Easter Wyoming and Western Nebraska. The work is split between two contractors, with portal construction delivered via Design‑Bid‑Build (DBB) and tunneling performed under a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract. Tunneling will occur over two non‑irrigation seasons (September–May). In the role of Construction Manager, we'll count on you to:Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documentsMaintain accurate daily records of the contractor’s daily activities and the work performed, and of the labor, equipment and materials usedReview construction materials for Contract complianceTrack quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptanceAttend and/or chair construction progress meetingsConduct observations of the installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systemsIdentify nonconforming work, develop project punchlists and maintain until correctedDevelop record documentation for engineer review/acceptanceAssist with project audit/closeoutWork under general supervision of a Design Project ManagerSupervise and direct the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors, testing services and subconsultantsThis position is subject to a preemployment drug testThis position is subject to a governmental background checkPreferred QualificationsConstruction or design certificationsExperience with estimating software (Timberline ), scheduling software (Primavera P3 or SureTrak ), and project management software (Prolog )Ability to interpret construction schedulesTunneling experience / geotechnical engineeringConstruction administration experienceConstruction schedule reviews, scope reviewsPerform constructability reviews and value engineering, cost estimating, submittals, RFI's, FO, CPR's, CO, Pay Applications.#LI-EV1QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experienceA minimum of 2 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including field engineering, construction submittals, estimating, scheduling, and site safety Experience with Microsoft OfficeExperience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.What We BelieveHDR is our company.
