In this role, you will be an integral part of the healthcare team, ensuring that patients are prepared for their visits and that all necessary procedures are performed efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing patients for healthcare visits and performing nursing procedures under supervision
• Assisting with exams, recording medical history, and taking vital signs
• Preparing laboratory specimens, performing phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
• Sterilizing medical instruments and administering medications
• E-prescribing prescriptions to pharmacies as directed
• Preparing patients for x-rays and taking electrocardiograms
• Removing sutures and changing dressings
• Keeping exam rooms stocked with adequate supplies
• Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to healthcare providers
• Participating in organizational and departmental CQI activities

To be successful in this role, you should have completed a Medical Assistant Training program and preferably be a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Wisconsin. Additional requirements include:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience with the EPIC medical record system is preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite software programs is beneficial
• Need 1 year experience in setting
