Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant performs treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well‑being following a plan of care supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist. Key Duties Include Adhering to state laws and only executing procedures within their training and qualifications Instructing patients in exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training Monitoring and reporting patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT and healthcare team Educating patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques Qualifications Current license/certification to practice physical therapy assistance in the state CPR certification Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation or access to public transit Ability to work in diverse home environments and availability for weekend rotations Preferred: Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and transfers.
