Mobile Service Technician

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a full-time Mobile Service Technician (SCBA) for self-contained breathing apparatus who resides in Albuquerque, NM. You will be required to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on firefighting equipment. Previous experience is nice to have, but not necessary. There will be training provided. This is a field-based role for someone with a mechanical background. You will be a part of a team that contributes to saving people's lives! How amazing is that? The company service vehicle is provided and offers extensive benefits and life insurance WHAT THEY OFFER - Opportunity to work with the largest PPE provider in the industry - 8-week onboarding program designed to fully prepare technicians to work independently upon its completion - Day shift – Monday to Friday - Field-based role with company vehicle (take-home) - Commission-based earning potential - Excellent benefits package - Career growth and professional development opportunities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Perform routine inspections and functional checks of SCBA equipment - Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs - Test SCBA units (pressure, airflow, and leak testing) to ensure compliance - Maintain detailed service records and documentation - Calibrate and adjust equipment for accuracy and safety - Train end-users on proper use and maintenance of SCBA equipment JOB REQUIREMENTS - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum 3 years of experience as a Field Service Technician (preferred) - Prior experience servicing SCBA equipment (highly desirable but not required) - Mechanical background with experience in one or more of the following: - HVAC systems, Small engine repair, Firefighting equipment, Hydraulics, Cabling - Vehicles or electrical systems - Knowledge of NFPA standards and SCBA regulations (preferred) - Familiarity with 3M/Scott SCBA equipment (preferred) - Strong computer skills - Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving ability - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Valid Driver’s License (required) - REAL-ID required for access to federal sites - Willingness to travel (100% travel required) - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs COMPENSATION: - $45,000 base salary + generous commission - Company service vehicle - 401(k) with company match - Paid holidays - Health, dental, vision, and life insurance - Short and long-term disability insurance - Flexible spending account (FSA) - Employee assistance program - Paid time off - Uniforms and tools provided - Employee rewards and recognition program SHIFT: Monday – Friday Company Description Rockstar Recruiting is a full-time, permanent recruitment firm that focuses exclusively on the skilled trades for all positions (Technicians, Installers, Management, etc.) across North America.
