Hotel Front Desk Agent with Housing Option

Hochstetler Resorts is looking for someone to join our front desk team!

We are a family-owned business that has operated hotels in Estes Park since 1998. We have four hotels in Estes Park, Colorado: The Silver Moon Inn, The Appenzell Inn, The Estes Mountain Inn, and Hotel Estes. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is self-motivated and is passionate about hospitality. We only promote from within the company and there is always room for growth with us!

Essential Functions:

1. Carry out front desk responsibilities including, but not limited to, greeting guests, performing guest transactions, balancing reports, processing reservations and credit cards, providing a genuine culture of hospitality

2. Provides quality service for guests including providing pertinent information about the properties and area.

3. Handle and resolve guest's complaints.

4. Operate phones giving courteous, polite service.

5. Assist in training new front desk staff.

6. Demonstrate good communication skills.

7. Perform basic math using a calculator or PMS system.

8. Have legible handwriting.

9. Knowledge of computer equipment.

10. Ability to learn and operate property equipment including IT systems, HVAC, pool equipment, and additional items specific to each properties.

11. Set up, refresh, and breakdown continental breakfast.

12. Record information in the communication systems and shift reports.

13. Promptly report all incidents or occurrences of an unusual nature that could result in potential loss, damage, injury or other liability to individuals or company property.

14. Work with other departments to ensure room status is up to date and room repairs are done on a timely basis.

15. Promote all marketing programs to the guests.

16. Responsible for accurate cash control to include keeping the cash drawer at a minimum and ensuring that the shift deposits balance.

17. Maintain a neat and clean appearance behind the front desk and in the lobby area.

18. Operate TDD equipment for hearing impaired guests.

19. Implement all company policies and procedures for safety and security.

20. Send and receive communication with guests including guest review platforms and email.

21. Responsible for key control, for both staff and guests and logs any issues as they occur.

Accountability

1. Front desk area of accounting audits and shoppers report scores all within acceptable ranges.

2. Maintains high level of quality, service, and cleanliness.

3. Daily accountability for cash drawer, deposits, and guestroom sales.

Experience or Training Required

1. High school education.

2. Previous desk experience preferred but not necessary.

License or Certification Required

1. Completion of front desk training program after hire.

Marginal Job Functions

1. Cleaning guestrooms and lobby areas as needed.

2. Restocking front desk supplies.

3. Help with laundry, as needed.

4. Perform light maintenance duties, as needed.

5. Delver pack and plays, towels, roll aways, or other items to guestrooms as requested.

6. Any other essential functions as requested by management.
