Job Title:  Automation and Controls Technician

Location:  Bastrop, Tx

Duration: 2 months, likely extensions

Employment Type: W2 Per Diem Contract

Hours: 50-60 hours/week

Shift:  Day Shift, 10 hour days, 5 days/week

 

Requirements:

• Industrial electrical, controls, or automation experience
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel drawings
• Experience building and wiring control panels
• Experience installing sensors and instrumentation devices
• Experience pulling, routing, organizing, and terminating cable
• Experience installing control panels, junction boxes, and remote I/O
• Familiarity with motors, sensors, conveyor systems, and automation equipment

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Build and wire control panels from electrical drawings
• Install and mount sensors and instrumentation devices
• Install electrical and control panels
• Install remote I/O blocks and terminal boxes
• Assemble and install cable trays, baskets, and support systems
• Pull, route, organize, secure, and label signal, control, and power cables
• Perform cable terminations at devices, panels, junction boxes, and I/O blocks
• Support production equipment and conveyor system installation
• Support field modifications including device relocations, panel relocations, and cable rerouting
• Document field changes and maintain redlines for as-built packages
• Support production line buildout and automation integration activities
