In this pivotal role, you will lead and expand our practice in the Pacific Northwest, driving client development, site investigation, remediation, and redevelopment projects. You’ll leverage your expertise to drive business development and client management, helping to expand WSP’s practices and capabilities. In this role, you’ll also have the opportunity to lead and inspire your team, taking on both project and staff management responsibilities. Key responsibilities include:Identifying and developing new business opportunities with both new and existing clients, and preparing related proposals.Actively participating in and leading the strategic planning and implementation efforts for the Northwest region. Overseeing and managing complex technical projects, utilizing your expertise to help WSP expand its practices and capabilities through industry leadership, business development, and client management.Directing multiple remediation and restoration projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and schedule expectations while maintaining high-quality standards on deliverables.Overseeing the comprehensive delivery of remediation and restoration projects, including planning, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management.Building and maintaining trust-based relationships with clients, regulatory personnel, and other project stakeholders.Effectively managing and nurturing client relationships to encourage repeat business.Mentoring staff in technical, consulting, and business development skills.Leading and supporting recruitment efforts for key staff hires to grow our practice in the Northwest.Who You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in geology, hydrology, or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, or a related fieldAt least 12 years of post-education environmental consulting experience Demonstrated success in the development and management of clientsProven leadership skills and experience in managing complex projects and teamsExperience managing the overall delivery of projects, including project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract managementDetailed understanding of soil and groundwater remediation regulationsDetailed understanding of Washington and Oregon regulationsExperience with multi-disciplinary project teamsAbility and willingness to travel within region and occasionally outside regionValid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travelPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in the same fieldsWashington, Oregon, and/or Idaho professional registration (e.g., P.E., P.G.), or ability and willingness to obtainCurrent OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshersWSP Benefits:WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
