Associate Technician, Operations

Merck seeks a Bio Process Operations Technician for first-shift support at a vaccine manufacturing facility in Wilson, NC. The role involves aseptic filling, inspection, packaging, and facility disinfection while maintaining GMP compliance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Execute aseptic vaccine manufacturing including primary filling, inspection, packaging, and CIP/SIP operations
• Perform facility and equipment disinfection and manage movement of materials and disinfectants
• Identify equipment issues and troubleshoot problems with maintenance team support
• Maintain EHS and GMP compliance through documentation, housekeeping, and escalation of quality or safety concerns
• Support startup activities, continuous improvement efforts, and training of other team members

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year or more GMP manufacturing experience preferred; aseptic environment strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
• Competency gowning and working in aseptic environments
• Experience with computerized and automated systems
• Willingness to work irregular hours for multi-shift operations as needed
