Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation - (PT - Rehab)

Overview This inpatient acute Physical Therapist position is located in New Bedford, Massachusetts and will begin on August 24, 2026. You will work within a full-service tertiary care hospital that provides a wide array of services, including medical‑surgical, critical care, cardiology, neurology, and emergency care. The role requires participation in interdisciplinary care teams and the delivery of evidence‑based interventions to adult and geriatric patients across acute care units. Responsibilities • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence‑based interventions focused on mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational and speech therapists, respiratory therapists, and case managers to coordinate care and support safe discharge planning.
• Provide patient education and family training.
• Deliver early mobilization, functional re‑training, fall prevention, and transition planning to home, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing settings.
• Cover multiple hospital floors as needed, including medical‑surgical, telemetry, and occasionally intensive care units.
