We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Verification Specialist to join our dentalcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, ensuring accurate dental claim billing, and maintaining up-to-date dental claims records. This role is crucial in facilitating seamless communication between office manager, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough verification of patient insurance information prior to services rendered.
- Review and interpret medical records to ensure accuracy in coding and billing.
- Utilize knowledge of coding systems to assist in the verification process.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all verification activities and updates to patient records.
- Conduct dental claim submission of insurance claims or billing inquiries.
- Stay informed about changes in dental terminology, coding practices, and insurance policies.
Skills
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and its application in insurance verification.
- Experience in dental billing, collections, and handling dental records.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with office manager, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
- Proficient in using Dentrix systems and other relevant software tools.
