Payroll Specialist

Job Details Description Pay Rate: $50,000- $60,000 depending on qualifications and experience Responsibilities Process and submit weekly payrolls in a timely and efficient manner. Review and process daily employee maintenance to ensure accuracy in payroll system. Complete maintenance for benefit related items; PTO, Insurance, 401K, etc.in payroll system. Preparation of payroll reports. Calculate retro pay including shift differentials. Verify and process wage garnishments, child support, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner. Communicate issues and resolutions to team members. Complete employment verification requests. Provide exemplary customer service by answering employee/facility phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner. Other items as directed. Qualifications The ideal candidate must be dedicated, organized, proactive, and possess a desire to learn. Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven, team environment for a mid-sized growing company. Must be computer proficient. Payroll experience preferred, 5+ years. Excel Software Experience Preferred. Ultimate Software experience not required but preferred. Professional speaking voice as well as exceptional communication skills are required.
